The Italian language content will be tailored on a pre-intermediate/intermediate (A2/B1) level of competence (depending on the condition of the majority of the students); a previous knowledge of Italian is required.

  • Programma del corso

    All language skills will be developed progressively complying with the specifications of The Common European Framework of Reference for the expected language level. Grammar will be treated in conjunction with vocabulary and language usage by an inductive method.

    • talking about one’s family, identifying family relationships; comprehension of some oral and written texts related to this subject. Some specific terms about family, society, politics

    Culture Content:
    • personal and national identity: the ‘question of the language’ between the need of a national language and the local dialects;
    • investigating the role of the language in defining (or hiding) the modern working world in Italy (with special attention to the Italian Language text books and/or online resources);
    • the origin of the ‘myth’ of Italian fashion and the idea of the ‘Made in Italy’;
    • investigating the role of the language in defining family relationships;
