Presentazione
Eleonora obtained her PhD in Economics from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, 2005. She spent visiting periods at the Sussex European Institute (UK) as a Marie Curie fellow and at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany). Since 2008, she is researcher in Economics at the University of Macerata, where she also teaches Principles of Economics and Small Business Economics as aggregate professor.
Her research interests and main expertise are in the field of European economic integration, geography and economic development.
She serves as referee for Journal of Economic Inequality, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Regional Science, Papers in Regional Science, Review of Middle East Economics and Finance, Economia e Politica Industriale.
Her current research is focused on the role of contagion and aggregate debt in the Eurozone crisis; international business cycle and decoupling of emerging economies; industrial and functional specialization within countries; agglomeration economies, offshoring and back-reshoring; identification and clusters' policies in emerging countries.
