He is an expert in the field of online learning, and in designing and developing online and personal learning environments. Teaching •From academic year 2000/2001, professor in the disciplinary field M-PED/03 in graduate courses, master degrees and specializing courses; Reseacrh activity National research projects (PRIN) •In the academic years 2005 and 2006/07 he was a member of the Unit of the University of Macerata (disciplinary field 11-Historical, Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences) in the project “Social, pedagogical and psychological models for learning and communication in virtual communities of practice”; Basic Research founding (FIRB) •In the academic years 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12 he was a member of the Unit of the University of Macerata (disciplinary field 11-Historical, Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences) for the FIRB project “Wiring Individualised Special Education”; Participation in research group projects (founding ex 60%) •a.y. 2004/2005: “Multimediality and cyberspace: analysis of multimedia messages and design/experimentation of tools for knowledge building and personal identity construction”; •a.y. 2005/2006: “Models of analysis of online interactions, of knowledge building and personal identity construction” •a.y. 2006/2007: “Educational design, E-Learning, Semantic Web, Ontology, Web 3.0” •a.y. 2007/2008: “Ontologies in the personalization of educational paths” Collaborations •From academic year 2006/2007: he was a member of the teaching committee of the PhD program in E-Learning e Knowledge Management; •From academic year 2000/2001: he took part in coordination actions and participation in scientific committee, he was also a member of the exam committe in different master degrees and specializing courses; •From academic year 2000/2001: he was involved in the design and creation of learning environments for master degrees, specializing courses and online graduate courses Communications in conferences •From academic year 2000/2001 he presented communications in several national and international conferences in the following research fields: online learning environments in formal and informal contexts, ontologies and online learning, robotics in education, virtual worlds.
